  • MID-REC SOCCER
Somers Soccer Association has partnered with Enfield Soccer Association at the Mid-Rec level.   This collaboration allows kids to continue to learn, develop and improve their soccer skills without Travel Soccer commitment.  ESA has a large Mid-Rec program with over 900 players and multiple teams, providing a safe, fun, and positive environment for kids to grow.  Players will compete against others their own age (3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade).  Games are played at Lego Fields on Shaker Rd. in Enfield.  ESA will do everything in their power to keep Somers players on certain teams to allow for carpooling.  The link to sign up is Enfield Mid-Rec Registration
  • TRAVEL SOCCER
Somers Soccer Association, under the guidance of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA), runs a program which consists of Travel soccer for those who live in the town of Somers.  Starting at 8 years old, a child is eligible to play travel soccer.  Our goal is for everyone to play at their age level and skill level.  We aim to provide a positive learning environment where all levels of players can improve their skills, be competitive, and enjoy their soccer experience.   Weekly commitment usually consists of two team practices (nights chosen by coaches), one futsal/agility clinic, and up to two games over the weekend.  Many Travel teams also opt to participate in one to two weekend tournaments during the season.  For more information on the Travel Soccer program, including the evaluation process - please see our "Travel Soccer FAQ" page.
